Dreamt Pages (2023)

Dreamt Pages is about celebrating life changes, letting go and moving on. In this work I address my own failure to become an illustrator by transforming my illustration books into celebration banners. Mixed with pages from found picture books from reuse bins such as cooking, crafts, design and hobby books, I ask: Why do we let go of the books we used to love? What are the life changes that happened – did we fail, lose interest or outgrow them? What made us decide to move on?
